Each year, St1 publishes an annual report called Game Changer to provide a complete picture of the Group: how it has progressed on its energy transition journey, how it has performed financially, and how it has managed its responsibilities towards people and the environment.
As a UK-based subsidiary, Brocklesby is part of the St1 Group, and our data and activities are included within the Game Changer annual review. Brocklesby has a central role within St1’s HVO value chain, collecting and recycling used cooking oil and food waste that is processed into low-emission fuels at St1’s Gothenburg Biorefinery. For us, the report is an important expression of the shared values and standards we uphold as part of the Group.
Brocklesby in the 2025 review
The report covers how St1 and Brocklesby manage traceability across our supply chain. The Group uses traceability software that tracks feedstocks and provides mass-balance documentation for certification schemes, supporting accurate greenhouse gas accounting across the supply chain. Brocklesby’s operations are also run under an ISO 14001-certified health, safety and environmental management system.
Assessing human rights impacts
This year’s annual review also includes an article on a Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA) carried out at Brocklesby during autumn 2025. Working with an external consultancy and St1’s Sustainability Governance and Performance Team, we assessed human rights impacts within our own operations and across our supply chain, and identified areas for follow-up action. The full case study appears on page 29 of the report.
Sustainability reporting
St1’s Sustainability Review is grounded in a Double Materiality Assessment (DMA): an analysis of material positive and negative sustainability impacts, financial risks and financial opportunities across the Group and its value chain.
The review has been prepared in anticipation of the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), representing an initial step towards future alignment with these frameworks. Selected sustainability information has been independently assured by Deloitte Oy, and the review also serves as St1’s Communication on Progress under the UN Global Compact.
